“Serene Koong may not be a household name yet, but if things go her way, she'd be right up there with Kit Chan and Stefanie Sun in the stakes, as this debut shows. … Great music. One of the best local debuts we're heard in a long time.” – Today

Armed with a piano and a heart full of stories to share, Serene Koong recounts her love, dreams and desires through her beautiful melodies.

Winner of both Most Popular Newcomer and Meritorious Newcomer at Singapore Hit Awards 2010 and with several top ten hits on radio charts in Singapore and Malaysia, this singer-songwriter has been gaining attention for her emotive voice and compositions.

Her first full-length album 55:38:7, helmed by renowned producer-arranger Eric Ng with lyrics by the award-winning Xiaohan, made its debut in 2009. Weaving personal experiences into her music, the self-professed romantic delivers powerful balladry of heart-wrenching vulnerability. Apart from her soulful tunes, her musical versatility is also reflected in her jazz renditions as well as an R&B duet with Jaycee Chan.

Catch Serene live in this in::music showcase of her favourite tracks along with a special preview of her latest songs coming out this year. Expect an intimate session with her as she presents a mix of lively jazz-inspired numbers and emotive piano ballads.
