Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay celebrates the Lunar New Year through the arts at Huayi – Chinese Festival of Arts from 27 January – 5 February 2012. As Esplanade commemorates its 10th Anniversary in service to our community with the theme Celebrating Life – The Best of the Human Spirit through the Arts in 2012, Esplanade will celebrate and pay tribute to key values through 17 Esplanade Presents arts festivals and series. We begin the year with the value Courage as embodied by Huayi in its presentation of bold and exciting works created across theatre, dance and music as well as through talks and workshops for everyone to enjoy.
